Research Training and Education Core

The goal of the Research Training and Education Core is to stimulate interest in health disparities research and enhance the skills of junior researchers through lectures, coursework and a research practicurn. The Training and Education Core assembles large data sets that can be used for research and provides doctoral students, post-docs and junior faculty from a wide range of disciplines and diverse backgrounds with the training necessary to address health disparities. Our goal is that this multidisciplinary approach will expose future researchers to conduct innovative, comprehensive, well-designed research studies to reduce disparities and improve the health of the people of Hawai‘i.
